STOPP HOSTED THE LAST POLICY DIALOGUE WEBINAR ABOUT SMARTER PACKAGING REUSE AND RECYCLING POLICIES
On April 1st, 2026, STOPP hosted its final Policy Dialogue Webinar, titled Smarter Packaging Reuse & Recycling Policies: Turning Consumer Insights into Impact. The session was delivered by Angelos Balatsas Lekkas, Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Marketing and Communication of the University of Vaasa, and focused on how a better understanding of real consumer behaviour could support more effective packaging policies in practice.
The webinar explored how consumer research could help increase participation in reuse systems, improve sorting quality, and strengthen recycling outcomes, while also accelerating the transition towards reusable food packaging and more circular packaging solutions across Europe. The session brought together around 20 participants, and the recording is available.
