STOPP PROJECT PRESENTED AT PLASTICS RECYCLERS EUROPE ANNUAL MEETING
The STOPP project was showcased during the Plastics Recyclers Europe Annual Meeting, held on 27–28 November 2024 in Cascais, Portugal. As part of the event, discussions on Task 3.3, Designing Sustainable Circular Packaging, took place within the High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polypropylene/Polyolefins (PP/PO), and Polystyrene (PS) working groups. Experts exchanged insights on improving packaging sustainability and enhancing circularity within the plastics industry.

A key highlight was the presentation on the ongoing development of Design for Recycling guidelines for High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polypropylene (PP) contact-sensitive packaging. These efforts, conducted within the scope of the European project STOPP, aim to establish clear recommendations to improve recyclability. As a project partner, Plastics Recyclers Europe played a crucial role in facilitating these discussions and advancing industry-wide sustainability goals.
