STOPP PROJECT STRENGTHENED MICROPLASTICS AWARENESS AT MICROPLASTICDAYS 2026
In February 2026, the STOPP project took part in MicroplasticDays, where dissemination activities highlighted ongoing research efforts to better understand and reduce the environmental impact of microplastics. Representing the National Institute of Chemistry, researcher Vaibhav Budhiraja attended the event and engaged with a growing international community of scientists and stakeholders committed to tackling microplastic pollution.
MicroplasticDays, which had expanded significantly over the past three years, brought together researchers, innovators, and practitioners to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration. The event provided STOPP with a valuable platform to present its objectives, share progress, and connect with experts working on complementary approaches to monitoring, prevention, and mitigation of microplastics.
Participation in the fair strengthened the project’s visibility and reinforced its commitment to scientific outreach and community building. By contributing to discussions and networking with key actors in the field, STOPP enhanced opportunities for future collaboration while supporting collective efforts toward reducing microplastic pollution and promoting sustainable environmental solutions.
