STOPP AT THE SLOVENIA AND EUROPE FOR CLEAN WATER EVENT
On October 14, 2025, the Slovenia and Europe for Clean Water event brought together researchers, innovators, and policy leaders to discuss new pathways towards healthier aquatic ecosystems. Led by Andrej Krzan and Andreja Palatinus, the event highlighted how science, collaboration, and creativity can drive real change for our rivers, lakes, and seas.
Representing the STOPP Project, Vaibhav Budhiraja from our partner Kemijski inštitut – National Institute of Chemistry showcased how our work contributes to reducing plastic pollution and improving water quality across Europe. Among 21 pioneering projects presented in Slovenia, STOPP stood out for its innovative approach to sustainable materials and circular design.
The event also featured an inspiring keynote by João Frias on the intersection between art, music, and science, reminding us that creativity fuels progress. With new collaborations forming, STOPP continues to build momentum towards cleaner waters and a more sustainable future.
